Lorenzo Sierra is an award-winning, accredited marketing communication professional. In January 2015, he was sworn in as a member of the Avondale City Council.

He is the principal of LoSierra Communication Consulting, providing strategic marketing support for corporate and community service clients. He previously served in various marketing leadership roles with Fortune 500 companies such as Humana, Aon and Honeywell.

Lorenzo is a dedicated community advocate who provides leadership for several statewide boards. His appointments include stewardship positions with:

• Chicanos por la Causa – Health and Human Services
• Xico (a Latino-based arts organization)

Awards and Honors

Lorenzo has been cited by the Arizona Examiner as one of Phoenix’s “up and comers.” He was named one of the 10 most influential minorities in the Phoenix business community by the Phoenix Business Journal. He also was recognized on the Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 list.

He is a contributing author of The IABC Handbook of Organizational Communication. He is past president of IABC/Phoenix. The chapter was named International Chapter of the Year under his leadership.

Lorenzo is a graduate of Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. He has also graduated from the Hispanic Leadership Institute and the Avondale Citizens Leadership Academy.
